چکیده
The present study sought to evaluate the effect of resveratrol supplementation on mRNA expression levels peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), p53, p21, p16, and serum cluster differentiation 163 (CD163) TNF-like weak inducer apoptosis (TWEAK) ratio in patients with type 2 diabetes. In this double-blind randomized controlled trial, 71 were randomly assigned receive either 1,000 mg trans-resveratrol or placebo (methyl cellulose) for 8 weeks. Expression genes interest, sCD163 sTWEAK assessed at baseline end study. Resveratrol significantly increased p53 p21 genes, compared group (fold change = 1.29, p .04; fold 1.46, .006). However, no significant PPARα p16 was observed after supplementation. addition, reduced sCD163/sTWEAK (p .003). resulted changes expression, while also improved group, without any adjusted levels. More research is needed confirm beneficial effects
